If you’ve ever wanted to visit two of the nations best national parks, I invite you to come join me for an amazing week in The Grand Teton’s and Yellowstone National Park! This amazing adventure will be full of beautiful, towering mountains, crashing waterfalls, diverse wildlife, colorful geysers and thermal pools and so much more! This workshop will begin in Jackson, Wyoming where we will spend 3.5 days exploring the wonderful Grand Tetons National Park. Halfway through our tour, we will take a short 2.5 hour drive through beautiful landscapes as we transfer to Yellowstone National Park for an additional 3.5 days of exploring! This workshop will be filled with landscape, wildlife, and night photography. We will also have down time to work on post-processing and critique sessions. If you’re feeling up for an adventure of a lifetime, don’t miss out!

What You Will Learn:

  • How to create compelling landscape compositions.

  • How to use your camera to its fullest capabilities.

  • How to utilize a variety of lenses to think “outside the box.”

  • An understanding for light and how to take advantage of it in all conditions.

  • How to photograph the night sky.

  • The basics of Lightroom and Photoshop.

  • An introduction to black and white photography.

  • How to utilize filters.

  • How to safely photograph wildlife.

  • How to pick your jaw up off the floor.

What You Will Need:

  • A DSLR camera body and an assortment of lenses. A wide angle and telephoto are highly recommended.

  • A sturdy tripod.

  • An intervalometer (a cheap one off of Amazon will work just fine).

  • A headlamp or flashlight.

  • At least the trial version of Lightroom or Photoshop on your laptop.

  • Multiple batteries.

  • A desire to learn, have fun, be flexible, and explore nature!

    • Note: a 10 or 6 stop neutral density filter for your wide angle is recommended, but not required. Also, a circular polarizer is recommended, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

There will be minimal hiking involved in this workshop with the longest trek being approximately two miles round trip on a paved path. Snowy & icy conditions could be a possibility if winter weather is prevalent.

Where To Fly Into:

Getting to Grand Teton National Park requires flying into Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Where We Will Be Staying:

For the Grand Teton portion of this workshop, we will be staying in cabins near the town of Jackson, Wyoming. In Yellowstone, we will be staying at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge, centrally located in Yellowstone National Park. Lodging is based upon double occupancy for each room.

Workshop Start & Wrap:

Our Workshop will start with our meet & greet on the 11th at 1PM at our accommodation in Jackson, Wyoming. We will wrap our workshop at 10AM on the 17th in Yellowstone National Park.

Payment Plan Option

To help make things a bit easier to attend this awesome adventure, I have created a payment plan for this workshop. The first 1/4 payment is due upon registration, then the following 1/4 payment (both non-refundable) is due by March 1. The remaining balance is then due by September 20, 2021.
